Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone, Generali’s second-largest investor, along with the two executives he has nominated as potential CEO and chairman, have laid out their plan to increase Generali’s earnings by more than 14%.

The plan, titled “Awakening the Lion” in a nod to Generali's nickname "The Lion of Trieste", laid out several goals that would be achieved under the new, proposed management team.
