MS Amlin Syndicate 2001 reports 102% combined ratio but rebounds to overall profit

MS Amlin Underwriting (MS AUL) Syndicate 2001 has rebounded to a 2021 profit of £7.9mn ($10mn) amid an improvement in underwriting performance year on year, although its combined ratio remains in unprofitable territory at 102%.

The 2021 results compare to a loss of £178.1mn and a combined ratio of 119% generated by the syndicate the previous year.
