Generali has suspended its Austria, Central and Eastern Europe (ACEE) regional head Luciano Cirinà with immediate effect, after the executive was put forward by a major investor as a rival candidate for the CEO role.

CEO of Generali Deutschland Giovanni Liverani has taken over immediately as interim ACEE regional officer, while Cirinà is suspended until further notice.
