Munich Re withdraws from Russian business and condemns Ukraine war

Munich Re will not renew existing contracts in Russia and Belarus, and new business in the countries has been suspended, as the carrier condemned the war taking place in Ukraine.

The reinsurer will take the same approach with its investments in the region, and the only exception to the rule will be if the suspension of business negatively affects persons or companies in need of protection.
