Generali has posted a 7.9% rise in the operating profit of its P&C segment to EUR2.7bn ($2.9bn) for 2021, despite an increase in nat cat and motor claims, as the carrier benefited from top-line growth in the unit and wider contributions from its controlling stake in the Cattolica Group.
