Argo Group has issued a statement defending its management’s record but pledging to consider the board nominations of activist investor Ron Bobman and former National Interstate CEO David Michelson.

Last week, Bobman’s company Capital Returns published a proxy filing seeking to nominate the pair as part of efforts to ensure Argo is run in the best interests of investors.
