Cyber (re)insurers are under serious threat from a potential "cyber disaster" stemming from Russia's invasion of Ukraine, including potential attacks on critical infrastructure, CyberCube has warned.

The cyber-risk analytics firm said the possibility for catastrophic disasters arising from the increase in offensive cyber activity had “never been higher”, with Russian president Vladimir Putin vowing retaliation against any party aiding the Ukrainian government’s defence efforts.
