Generali confirms plans to shut down Russian operation

Generali has confirmed it will wind down its Europ Assistance operation in Russia due to the war in Ukraine and close its Moscow representative office.

The announcement comes after the FT yesterday reported the Italian carrier was considering taking the actions.

Generali also said it will resign from its positions on the board of Russian insurer Ingosstrakh, in which it holds a 38.5%
