RiverStone International has agreed a first-of-its-kind split reinsurance to close (RITC) deal with MS Amlin to take on the liabilities of its UK property and casualty portfolio for the 2019 and prior years of account (YoA).

The deal is a significant development in the legacy market, allowing MS Amlin to carve out line-specific parts of its portfolio rather than the portfolio in full.
