Axa UK and Ireland (UK&I) is to acquire the renewal rights to Ageas UK’s commercial business for an initial consideration of £47.5mn ($64.1mn).

Axa said the deal will strengthen its growth strategy and commitment to commercial business customers and broker partnerships, particularly in the SME and schemes markets.
