Optio names Kelsey UK political violence and terror head, and triples line size

Specialty MGA Optio Group has promoted Mark Kelsey to head of political violence and terrorism (PVT) in the UK and tripled its line size for single risks to $150mn.

Kelsey joined the business as a senior underwriter in 2020 and will report to global PVT head Chris Kirby, who relocated to the US in September to establish Optio’s PVT offering in the country.
