Tokio Marine Holdings reported a fiscal nine-month profit of 374.1bn yen ($3.2bn), more than triple that of the prior-year period, as the Japanese carrier benefited from a reduction in Covid losses and improved underwriting performance.
Last year, the carrier was struck heavily by Covid, which created an impact of 69.4bn yen across the group.
