QBE has become the latest insurer to sign up the UN-convened Net Zero Insurance Alliance (NZIA), committing to transition its underwriting portfolio to carbon neutrality by 2050.

The Australian carrier joins founder members of the initiative Axa, Allianz, Aviva, Generali, Munich Re, Scor, Swiss Re and Zurich.
