Trade barriers must not block international risk placement in London: BIBA

The UK government must review the “unintended consequences” of trade barriers and competition law to ensure these rules do not prevent the placement of international risks in London, the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has said.

In its 2022 manifesto the association called on the government to ensure the syndication of risk in London and internationally is preserved, particularly “in a post-Brexit world”.
