Malaysian insurers face flood losses of up to $718mn

The insurance industry in Malaysia is facing losses of between 2bn-3bn Ringgit ($479mn-$718mn) relating to flooding across the country, according to its national trade association PIAM.

The estimates include actual and potential personal lines and commercial losses directly resulting from recent flash floods and the upcoming monsoon season.
