Loss estimates for Names syndicates point to Lloyd’s £2.5bn 9M cat bill

Large losses absorbed by the Lloyd’s market on the 2021 year of account as of the end of Q3 could be as much as £2.5bn, based on extrapolations from figures released by Names-backed syndicates.

In a members’ Q4 newsletter obtained by Insurance Insider, Lloyd’s members agent Hampden Agencies gave its estimates for the 2021 account.
