Ardonagh agrees to acquire Portuguese broker MDS in £200mn deal

Ardonagh has struck a deal to acquire MDS, the EUR74.8mn ($84.7mn) revenue broker based in Porto, Portugal, just weeks after a major refinancing deal that valued the business at $7.5bn.

Sources indicated that Ardonagh paid vendors Sonae Group and IPLF Holding a consideration of more than £200mn ($268.4mn) for the business.
