Gross cat exposures rise for Bermudian carriers in 2020

Bermuda-registered carriers increased their average gross and net probable maximum losses (PML) related to cat exposures in 2020, with net exposure growing faster than gross, according to the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA).

The BMA’s Catastrophe Risk Modelling Report found that the average gross PML rose 6% to $885.8mn in 2020, from $834.1mn
