Sompo Holdings CEO Kengo Sakurada has been given more responsibility at the firm, stepping into the role of chairman of the board alongside his role as chief executive.

Mikio Okumura, the group’s co-chief strategy officer, will step into Sakurada’s former role as president as well as being promoted to group COO.
