S&P has upgraded Suncorp’s credit rating from AA- to A+ with a stable outlook, citing the strength of its earnings performance and capital adequacy.

The ratings agency said the change in profile for its operating entities, including AAI and Suncorp-Metway, reflected the Australian carrier’s business diversity and earnings resilience.
