A gap between the best- and worst-performing cyber insurers will widen in 2022, according to a CyberCube report that set out forecasts for rate movement and how new capital could flow into the market.

The spread between the top- and bottom-quintile carriers will widen as a result of differing underwriting strategies for managing what has been a tough year for cyber insurers across the globe, the report noted.
