Miller has appointed Sally Hinchey from Willis Towers Watson to work in the newly created position of head of surety, as the broker eyes key opportunities in the surety business line.

Hinchey will be responsible for leading and developing the surety offering at Miller, working closely with the construction team to further its capabilities in the space.

She has more than 16 years’ experience in the market and was most recently surety director at Willis, leading the broker’s surety proposition in the UK.

She worked at Willis for more than 12 years, having begun her broking career at Marsh, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Head of construction Pauline Goreham said that the hire was an “important milestone” for the broker’s surety proposition.

“Sally’s appointment will support the expansion of our construction offering, while also adding value to a number of other teams at Miller, furthering our commitment to providing a market-leading service for clients and partners,” she added.
