Willis Towers Watson has appointed Hugo Wegbrans as global head of broking and broking strategy within its risk and broking segment, in a major hire from rival and former merger partner Aon.

Wegbrans was global strategies leader within Aon’s commercial risk solutions business. He has spent most of his 35-year career with Aon, having also been global chief broking officer.
