Compre takes QBE’s Reynolds as chief risk officer in Bermuda
Legacy specialist Compre has appointed QBE’s Brid Reynolds to work as group chief risk officer.
Reynolds joins the company with immediate effect and will be based in Hamilton, Bermuda.
She will be responsible for the oversight and development of risk functions globally and initially report to group COO Simon Hawkins.
Her most recent role at QBE was vice president and head of capital, management and regulatory reporting.
Prior to that, she served as principal for insurance supervision at the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
Earlier this year, Compre was acquired by Cinven and British Columbia Investment, after the companies struck a takeover deal with previous private equity owner CBPE.
Hawkins said of Reynolds: “Her expertise will help enable our significant expansion aspirations through leading our global risk framework.
“She will also advise us as a business partner on all transaction activity and its associated risk appetite and tolerance which is part of our new value creation strategy.”
