PRA to apply ‘toolkit’ on firms failing to manage climate risk

The Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) has said that, from next year, it will start “actively supervising” firms’ efforts to implement expectations on climate risks, as it published a joint statement with other watchdogs on new approaches to the issue.

The PRA, the Financial Conduct Authority, The Pensions Regulator and the Financial Reporting Council today all put out the joint statement, on the publication of their various climate-change adaptation reports.
