FCA letter questions brokers’ understanding of product governance rules

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has written a letter to brokers warning that they have failed to understand the impact of product-governance rules on their businesses.

The letter also suggests many brokers believe they are neither a “manufacturer” nor a “distributor” of insurance products and are, therefore, unbound by the new rules.
