Gossmann & Cie and Deon Digital team up to create InsurTech
Liability management company Gossmann & Cie and Copenhagen and Zurich-based tech company Deon Digital have joined forces to create an InsurTech called DGTL, with the aim of building a “digital factory” for the insurance industry.
DGTL uses its own programming standard developed to support typical processes in the financial industry.
The aim is to “fast track” typical back-office insurance processes such as claims audit and claims management for insurers using proprietary technology, artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain and computing and storage facilities.
The digital factory will be set up as a Software-as-a-Service platform, allowing insurers to take advantage of digital instruments without having to “modernise their complete IT landscape”.
DGTAL said insurers could thereby obtain an immediate and meaningful performance boost in their back-office operations without having to invest time and resources.
Arndt Gossmann, founder and CEO of Gossmann & Cie, said: “DGTAL addresses the main observations and challenges of the industry: the need for digitisation and the fact insurers have an enormous experience which is captured within their own data.”
