The chair of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Charles Randell has announced he plans to step down from his post a year early in the spring of 2022.

Randell took up the post in April 2018 and was due to serve a five-year term. But he said in a letter to chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak that now was the right time to step down, so...
