UK nuclear intermediary Nuclear Risk Insurers (NRI) has increased its UK insurance capacity to EUR1.2bn ($1.4bn) as demand grows for energy coverage away from traditional fossil fuels.

The company represents capacity from a group of companies and Lloyd’s syndicates led by Chaucer, which backs the company through Syndicate 1176.
