Axa XL’s Sean McGovern has claimed that the environmental, social and governance (ESG) drive is the “biggest opportunity for the industry that we’ve seen for a generation” but will also provide a huge test for the (re)insurance industry going forward.

The CEO for Axa XL’s UK and Lloyd’s division was speaking to Insurance Insider, along with a number of senior industry figures who have ESG-specific roles or expertise, at this year’s Airmic conference.
