South African Supreme Court rules against Santam in Covid-19 BI case

The South African Supreme Court of Appeal has ruled that the country’s largest non-life carrier Santam must cover a claim for hotel group Ma-Africa for 18 months of Covid-19 BI.

Santam had previously accepted its liability in the Ma-Africa case, but argued that the indemnity period should only be three months, according to a Reuters report.
