Pen Underwriting acquires Manchester Underwriting Agencies

AJ Gallagher-owned MGA Pen Underwriting has acquired Manchester Underwriting Agencies and its wholly owned subsidiary Manchester Underwriting Management Limited for an undisclosed sum.

Manchester was established in 2010 by Charles Manchester, who will remain with the business.

Having grown organically and through bolt-on acquisitions, such as the purchase of Pelican in 2018, the business now writes more than £60mn ($81.4mn)
