The Howden-backed fully sustainable insurer Parhelion has appointed industry veteran David Foreman to the role of chair as it prepares to launch.

The carrier, which secured seed funding from the broker this summer, aims to raise $500mn in capital and is in discussions with potential partners to obtain equity, a platform and licences in target territories.
