Bermuda-based Sompo International has reached an agreement to purchase Italian agriculture insurance company Assicurazioni Rischi Agricoli (ARA).

The ARA book of business will be a part of AgriSompo, Sompo’s global agriculture platform, but ARA will continue to operate under the same brand name.
