Karen Clark & Company (KCC) has issued a flash estimate pegging Hurricane Nicholas insured losses at $950mn.

Nicholas made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane west-southwest of Sargent Beach, Texas, in the early hours of Tuesday last week.
