Chubb promotes Nazir to head of cyber and technology for overseas
Chubb has appointed Raheila Nazir as head of cyber and technology for overseas general insurance.
Previously, Nazir served as cyber underwriting manager for the UK, Ireland and South Africa and Chubb Global Markets, which includes Chubb’s London Market wholesale and specialty business, including the company’s Lloyd’s platform.
She will be responsible for leading Chubb’s international cyber and technology practice, and will additionally oversee underwriting, strategy, product and business development and financial performance.
Based out of London, she will report to Tim Stapelton, executive vice president for financial lines for overseas, and Chubb group and division president for global cyber risk, Mike Kessler, effective immediately.
Prior to joining Chubb in 2018, she served as head of international cyber and technology at Aspen Insurance Group.
Previously, she spent nearly 3 years at AIG as cyber and TMT liability manager and head of professional indemnity. She started her career as AVP financial lines at Chartis in 2009.
Throughout her tenure at Chubb thus far, she has advanced the development and execution of its cyber underwriting initiatives in both the UK and London wholesale markets.
Kessler remarked: “One of Chubb's many strengths is our ability to develop and promote from within and acknowledge talent across the company. The cyber and technology practice is a fundamentally important part of our overseas general insurance business, and I am delighted that we have been able to promote Raheila to this key leadership position."
In August, the company named Hilda Toh as P&C underwriting chief for UK, Ireland and South Africa, another internal promotion.
