Marsh Specialty has expanded its marine and cargo team with the appointment of Sarah Dyer from AIG and Nick Adams from Onassis Group.

Dyer was head of UK marine at AIG and will work as head of logistics at Marsh Specialty, reporting to CEO of UK marine and cargo Louise Nevill.

She has more than 30 years’ experience in the market and previously worked at Marsh as a freight liability broker. She also worked for a decade at Aon.

In her new role, she will support both wholesale and retail logistics business on a global basis.

Adams joins from Onassis Group, where he has spent 12 years as director of Olympic Agencies in London, a subsidiary that handles all the insurance of the Onassis Group.

At Marsh Specialty, he will focus on supporting Greek marine clients with insurance and risk management programmes, working closely with head of marine in Greece Nikos Rekantzis. He will report to head of P&I Mark Cracknell.

Nevill said both of the new hires would be “invaluable” to Marsh’s marine clients.

“Sarah and Nick are highly experienced and talented individuals who excel in advising organisations with complex marine insurance and freight logistics risks on their insurance requirements,” she said.
