The second test case over BI coverage during the pandemic in Australia launched today in the Federal Court, and has been hailed by the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) as a “step closer” to legal clarity.

The test case will focus on the meanings of policy wordings around the definition of disease, Covid-19 outbreak proximity and the impact of government mandates.
