Henri 'less than a billion-dollar loss': BMS’s Siffert

Tropical Storm Henri churned through the Northeast and New England after making landfall as a tropical depression on Sunday, when it was downgraded from hurricane status after 12 hours as a hurricane.

According to BMS senior vice president and meteorologist Andy Siffert, the storm is projected to accumulate under a billion dollars in losses, as the event weakened from hurricane to tropical storm status just before making landfall.
