Ariel Re secures approval for Lloyd’s managing agent

Ariel Re has been granted in-principle approval from Lloyd’s to establish its own managing agent, following the buyout of the business by Pelican and JC Flowers from Argo.

The new managing agent will host Syndicate 1910 and special purpose arrangement (SPA) 6117, which previously fell under Argo’s managing agency.
