BI policy payouts for UK Covid claims move close to £1bn mark

UK insurers have now paid out in full 50.9% of claims received for Covid-19-related BI losses, as the total handed out in interim and final payments reached £968.1mn as at 5 August.

The Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) latest release of BI claims data revealed that more than half of claims have now been fully settled, compared to just under 47% in the prior monthly period.
