IAG lifts aggregate recoveries to A$100mn as stop-loss runs clean

IAG has said recoveries from its aggregate reinsurance cover rose to A$100mn ($73mn), as natural peril losses that were above its allowance and a variety of other major charges dragged the insurer to a A$427mn loss for the year.

The aggregate reinsurance recoveries were up from the A$90mn previously forecast, and related to claims on its calendar year 2020 aggregate programme.
