Former Axa XL international property head France lands at QBE
Former Axa XL international property manager Ian France has moved to QBE as head of property for European operations.
The underwriter announced his move on LinkedIn, stating that he will cover the UK, Europe and international markets as part of his new role.
France worked for XL Catlin as international property CUO for just under six years before its takeover by Axa in 2018.
Prior to that, he spent 22 years at AIG, in a variety of roles, and was latterly UK property underwriting manager from 2008 to 2012.
QBE said France will report to Stephanie Cryer, who was recently appointed head of product leaders for the carrier’s European operations.
Cryer said: “I am delighted to welcome Ian to the role.
“As head of property, he will be working closely with our underwriting teams to manage our property portfolio and risk appetite, as well as the alignment of technical underwriting priorities and tools to ensure we deliver the best solutions for our customers.”
