SiriusPoint has agreed to a deal with legacy-specialist reinsurer Compre to transfer $417mn in asbestos, environmental, and workers’ compensation liabilities, the two companies announced on Thursday.

The deal was structured as a loss portfolio transfer and is being written by Compre-controlled Bermuda company Pallas Re.
