Lloyd’s insurers join £750mn, government-backed live-events scheme

UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak is set to announce the government is partnering with Lloyd’s to offer a £750mn ($1bn) live-event reinsurance scheme.

Several Lloyd’s insurers – including Arch, Beazley, Dale, Hiscox and Munich Re – are said to be supporting the scheme, which seeks to help organisers plan events “with confidence” through to next year.
