Analysts positive on Scor Q2 P&C performance despite Covid losses

Analysts were upbeat on Scor’s Q2 group net income of EUR335mn, which came in EUR209mn ahead of consensus, despite surprise around additional P&C Covid-19 losses.

The French reinsurer this morning reported group operating profit of EUR488mn, a dramatic improvement on the prior-year quarter’s loss of EUR129mn, while the P&C unit also returned to profit of EUR100mn, after a Q2 2020 loss of EUR111mn.
