AIR pegs German flood insured losses at EUR5bn

Cat modelling firm AIR Worldwide has estimated that insured losses from flooding in Germany earlier this month could hit EUR5bn.

The estimate comes after the German insurance association, Gesamtverband der Deutschen Versicherungswirtschaft (GDV), yesterday increased the upper limit for its damage estimate from EUR5bn to EUR5.5bn.
