Aviva has agreed to pay BI claims to physiotherapists who closed their insured premises to comply with guidance from medical bodies, according to an announcement from broker James Hallam Pro Med.

The insurer had previously agreed to indemnify physiotherapists only under policy extensions relating to government or local authority action when the insured premises were a mixed-use facility, following the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Financial Conduct Authority’s BI test...
