Insurance M&A activity jumps 13% in H1 2021: S&P

M&A activity in the insurance industry accelerated during the first half of 2021 with 453 deals, a 13.3% increase compared with the 400 transactions during the same period in 2020, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.

Insurance brokers disclosed 375 deals, up from the 331 in the first half of 2020, while underwriters registered 75 transactions – nine more than in 2020, S&P Global said.
