Zurich CIO Angehrn resigns to take reins at Swiss watchdog

Urban Angehrn has resigned as group CIO at Zurich after he was appointed CEO of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma) earlier today.

The carrier said Peter Giger, group chief risk officer and a member of Zurich’s executive committee, would take on the additional responsibilities of group CIO until Angehrn’s successor was identified.
